During Term 3, our Year 9 Elective History students have been exploring The Viking Age. To extend their classroom learning, students visited the Australian National Maritime Museum, participating in the Galloway Hoard Exhibition and a Maritime Archaeology Workshop. Students examined replica artefacts, analysed historical sources, explored maritime archaeology and challenged common stereotypes about the Vikings. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring their learning to life beyond the classroom! πΆπΊ A special thank you to Mrs Bozic for organising the excursion and accompanying our students! π #EmmausCatholicCollege #Year9History #HistoryBeyondTheClassroom
