💫 LIFTED LEADERS 2025 💫 Have a look at the pictures from Lifted Leaders, an annual event run by Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese for College leaders to gain inspiration and develop their leadership. Our College Captains, Gardinia G and Noah M, along with our College Vice-Captains, Jorgiah S and Biar A attended the event with other leaders from other CSPD secondary schools. Our Captains immersed themselves in scheduled activities, singing songs, speaking with other student leaders and listening to Bishop Vincent Long as he spoke about ‘Pillars of Hope’ which is the theme of this year’s Jubilee ⭐ Gardinia, Noah, Jorgiah and Biar learnt that they are catalysts of hope and can implement change to support the Emmaus community. 🙌

Congratulations to our CSDA Public Speaking Semi-Finalists: Justine T, Nicole T, Chelsy M and Avah K. 👏🎉 The Catholic Schools Debating Association (CSDA) Public Speaking event is a competition that welcomes students from across 88 schools to participate in public speaking. Reaching the CSDA Public Speaking Semi-Final is a huge achievement! Each of our students participated in various elimination rounds to reach this stage of the competition. We look forward to supporting our young speakers as they progress throughout the competition! 🎤🙌

Have a look at what our Year 11 and 12 students have been getting up to in Biology and Chemistry! 🧪📚 In Year 11 Biology, students are studying cells and their organelles. To enhance their learning, students decorated cookies to represent a model of either a plant cell or an animal cell with their organelles. In Year 12 Chemistry, students made a natural indicator from red cabbage and tested it on various substances. Keep up the great work! 🦠👏

Have a look at these ‘Chocky Rocks’ made by Ms Olivieri’s Year 9 Food Technology class! 🍪🍫 ‘Chocky Rocks’ are a delicious twist on chocolate chip cookies, rolled in crunchy cornflakes for extra texture and flavor. Beyond developing their baking skills, students have also been focusing on the importance of hygiene and kitchen safety - key foundations of responsible cooking. The aroma of freshly baked treats filled the classroom, and the results were nothing short of mouthwatering! We are so proud of our budding chefs and look forward to seeing (and tasting) more of their culinary creations throughout the year. 🥣 Well done, Year 9! 👏🎉

A friendly reminder to parents, caregivers and students that NAPLAN starts tomorrow! 📖 The National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy is an annual assessment for students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. The NAPLAN online assessment window starts on Wednesday, 12th March, and finishes on Monday, 24th March 2025. 📅 Please make sure your child comes to school with their headphones and their device fully charged. Getting enough sleep before NAPLAN can help support student judgement and memory throughout the test. 💤 Best of luck to our students undertaking NAPLAN! 😊

On Thursday, 27th February to Sunday, 2nd March, Stella C, Chase I, Angelina D (Year 11), Felix M, Alexandra W and Greta W (Year 10) attended the Catholic Schools Youth Ministry International event in Canberra! 👏 Our students had a great time attending workshops and seminars that were held to teach students about youth ministry, learning how to run programs at school and deepen their faith. ✨ Stella C stated “through prayer, worship, singing and adoration, I speak for everyone when I say that we were truly flooded with the holy spirit and the power of Christ.” What an uplifting experience for our students! 🙌
