⭐ LETS GO LAYLA 🇦🇺 Emmaus alum, Layla Sharp will be making her debut at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. 👏 Representing the green and gold, Layla will compete in the Women’s T38 long jump this Friday! She currently holds the Australian T38 long jump record with an outstanding 4.64m jump at the ACT Championships last year. 💚💛 After competing at the World Championships in India last year, Layla has gained a strong passion for international athletics while showcasing that “anything is possible if you put your mind to it.” ✨ Don’t miss Layla compete at the Commonwealth Games this Saturday, 1st August at 5:00am! 🏃🤩 #EmmausCatholicCollege #CommonwealthGames #CommGames #Glasgow2026

🌟 STUDENT SPOTLIGHT 🌟 Congratulations to Year 7 student, Nathan K, on his outstanding success at the Skate Australia National Artistic Championships in Queensland! 👏🤩 2026 marks Nathan’s third consecutive year being selected to represent the Skate NSW Team. His hard work and dedication paid off in spectacular fashion, earning gold in both the Compulsory Dance and Free Dance events and securing the prestigious title of Australian Champion for Juvenile Boys Solo Dance 2026. 🥇🇦🇺 Nathan’s success is the result of unwavering commitment, training after school 4-5 days a week while also competing in various competitions throughout the year. Congratulations, Nathan! Your achievements are a wonderful example of what can be accomplished through dedication and determination. 🚨 REMINDER: COLLEGE MOBILE PHONE POLICY ‼️ In alignment with Diocesan policy, we remind our community that student use of mobile phones and other digital devices is PROHIBITED during school hours, from 8:35am to 2:55pm. 📱❌ Please note that this policy includes the use of mobile phones for payments at the school canteen. To make purchases, students MUST use a physical card or cash. We encourage parents and carers to ensure their children have a physical card available if they plan to use the College’s canteen services. 💳 For further details, please review CSPD’s "Student Use of Mobile Phones and Wearable Devices at School Policy" on our website.

In Term 2, students and staff generously donated items as part of Emmaus’ Vinnies Winter Appeal. 🧣❄️ Thanks to the incredible support of our College community, and in partnership with Emmaus Retirement Village, we donated eight large boxes filled with winter essentials, including pantry staples, snacks, scarves, socks and toiletries. These ‘snack packs’ will provide comfort and essential support to people experiencing homelessness, financial hardship or social isolation. 🍜🍞 We are grateful to support the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal and, through this initiative, put our Emmaus pillars of Service and Hospitality into action. 💙 #EmmausCatholicCollege #StVincentdePaulSociety #VinniesWinterAppeal
